As a protective measure, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. Reverse-bias photodiodes can withstand a maximum of 10V in continuous reverse-bias mode. Photodiodes in reverse-bias mode should not continuously exceed 10V. It is possible for a photodiode to produce 2nA even without light input.
