FGD3040G2 Product Details

FGD3040G2 Description

The Onsemi FGD3040G2 is an N-channel IGBT using Fairchild's EcoSPARK-2 technology, which eliminates the need for additional protection circuitry. The technology is designed to drive the coil in the demanding environment of automobile ignition systems, and it provides excellent Vsat and SCIS Energy performance even at high operating temperatures. The logic level gate input has an integrated gate resistor and is ESD shielded. The FGD3040G2 IGBT's collecter-to-emitter voltage is clamped at 450V by inbuilt Zener circuitry, allowing devices that require a greater spark voltage to operate.
