To protect the devices from damage, PTC thermistors are packaged in 1206 (3216 Metric) packages. For safety reasons, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR). There are 2 terminations on the PTC thermistor. There should be a maximum capability for the thermistor to transfer and conduct this power loss without overheating. PTC thermistors produce 0.125W heat.
