TPS77501DRG4 Description
The TPS775xx and TPS776xx devices are made to be stable with a 10F low ESR capacitor and to have a quick transient response. This combo offers excellent performance at a fair price. The dropout voltage is very low (usually 169mV at an output current of 500mA for the TPS77x33) and precisely proportionate to the output current since the PMOS device functions as a low-value resistor. The quiescent current for the PMOS pass element is also extremely low and independent of output loading because it is a voltage-driven device (usually 85 A over the entire range of output current, 0 mA to 500 mA). For battery-powered systems, these two crucial specifications result in a significant increase in operating life.
