FF900R12IE4PBOSA1 Description
For battery-powered systems, the LP3986's performance is tuned to give extremely low noise, extremely low dropout voltage, and low quiescent current that is independent of load current. Dropout causes a very little rise in the regulator ground current, extending battery life even more. Additional output noise reduction is possible without affecting the load transient response by using an additional bypass capacitor. Utilizing a speed-up circuit that actively pre-charges the bypass capacitor allows for quick startup times. At low frequencies, power supply rejection is better than 60 dB, and at 10 kHz, it is 55 dB. For battery-operated circuits, low input voltage levels are typical, and high power supply rejection is maintained at these levels.
