LP311D Description
The LP211 and LP311 devices are low-power variations of the LM211 and LM311 devices, which are industry standards. They use high-value, reliable, ion-implanted resistors to do the same task as the LM311 series, using 30:1 less power while only experiencing a 6:1 slowdown in response time. They are perfect for battery-powered applications and any other use cases that don't require quick responses. They can still drive a 25-mA load while operating over a wide range of supply voltages, from 18 V down to a single 3-V source with less than 300-A current consumption. If common sense precautions are used to reduce stray coupling from the output to either the input or the trim pins, the LP211 and LP311 are relatively simple to apply without oscillation. To reduce input offset voltage, offset balancing is also an option. By pulling the strobe pin low, strobe capability is also offered to switch off the output (independent of the inputs).
