A cutting-edge series of IGBTs, the PowerMESH IGBTs, have been created by STMicroelectronics using the most recent high-voltage technology based on a patented strip arrangement. A family designated by the suffix H is one that has been enhanced for use at high frequencies in order to obtain very high switching capabilities (reduced fall) while keeping a low voltage drop.
