L7806CV Description


The L7806CV is a three-terminal positive voltage regulator with several fixed output voltages, making it suitable for a variety of applications. The regulator can provide local on-card regulation, thus eliminating the power distribution problems associated with single point regulation. Each type has built-in internal current limits, thermal shutdown and safe area protection, making it essentially unbreakable. If sufficient heat dissipation is provided, they can provide an output current of more than 1A. Although these devices are mainly designed as fixed voltage regulators, they can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltage and current.
