LM338T Description

LM338Tseries adjustable three-terminal positive voltage regulator can support more than 5 voltages1.2V to 32V output range. They are particularly easy to use, require only two resistors to set the output voltage, elaborate circuit design, and have excellent performance compared with many commercial power supplies. The 138series are packaged with standard 3-ead transistors.

A unique feature of the LM138 series is time-dependent current simulation. The current limiting circuit allows a peak current of up to 12A to be attracted there in a short period of time. This allows L138 to be used with heavy loads and to accelerate startup at full load under continuous load conditions. The current limit is reduced to the cutting value of the protection regulator. The chip also includes thermal overload protection and safety zone protection for power transistors. Overload protection remains in effect even when the adjustment pin is accidentally disconnected.
