L5987 Description
The L5987 is a step-down switching regulator with 3.5A (minimum) embedded power MOSFET, so it can supply up to 3A current to the load according to application conditions. The input voltage ranges from 2.9V to 18V and the output voltage ranges from 0.6V to VIN. The minimum input voltage of the device is 2.9V, which is also suitable for 3.3V bus. The device requires a minimum set of external components, including an internal 250 kHz switching frequency oscillator that can be adjusted up to 1 MHz from the outside. VFQFPN8 and HSOP packages with exposed pads allow RthJA to be reduced to 60 ℃ / W and 40 ℃ / W, respectively.
