MC78L15ABDR2G Description
The affordable, user-friendly positive voltage regulators in the MC78L00A Series are ideal for a wide range of applications that call for a regulated supply of up to 100 mA. These regulators are remarkably tough thanks to inherent current limiting and thermal shutdown, just like their more powerful MC7800 and MC78M00 Series siblings. In many applications, the MC78L00 devices don't need any further parts.
Due to their far lower output impedance and quiescent current than the conventional zener diode and resistor combination, these devices perform significantly better.
