MC33197 Overview


To protect the devices from damage, PTC thermistors are packaged in SMD/SMT packages. PTC thermistors are packaged in the Cut Tape for the purpose of protecting them from damage. Ensure that the PTC thermistors are set to -40°C as their minimum operating temperature. In order for this thermistor to operate properly, the operating temperature cannot exceed 85°C. It is possible for PTC thermistors to provide voltages of 33V when they are operating. This thermistor can supply 33V nominally when in operation. These thermistors are rated for DC circuit voltage of 33V. When PTC thermistors produce heat, 1.5W should be the result. It is not recommended that PTC thermistors operate above 40A current. This thermistor should not supply a voltage greater than 33V in the DC circuit.
