To prevent damage to these photodiodes, they are packaged in Bulk. It is necessary to place the photodiodes into TO-46 packages in order to protect them from damage. Pins 3 are present on the photodiodes. Photodiodes on a circuit are capable of emitting 150mW heat. In order for photodiodes to function, the temperature must not exceed 125°C. However, the photodiodes should be operated at a minimum temperature of -55°C. A circuit should have a maximum heat release rate of 150mW from the photodiodes. The photodiode operates at 250nA current even in the absence of light input.
