In order to protect the PTC thermistors from damage, they are packaged in 1210 packages. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Cut Tape for safety reasons. ldeally, the PTC thermistors should operate at -40°C. There must be no temperature above 85°C for this thermistor to function. There are 2 terminations on the PTC thermistor. It is possible for PTC thermistors to provide voltages of 30V when they are operating. It is expected that PTC thermistors produce 600mW heat. In PTC thermistors, the current should not exceed 10A.
