The 685 is an Incandescent Lamp, 5 V, Sub-Midget Flanged, T-1 (3mm), 0.05, 25000 h. An electric light with a wire filament that has been heated until it glows is known as an incandescent light bulb, incandescent lamp, or incandescent light globe. To prevent oxidation, the filament is encased in a glass bulb with a vacuum or inert gas.
