TFBS4711-TT1 Description
A compact infrared data transceiver module is the TFBS4711-TT1. IrDA® data rates of up to 115.2 kbit/s are supported (SIR). The transceiver module offers a complete front-end solution in a single package by combining a PIN photodiode, an infrared emitter (IRED), and a low-power CMOS control IC.
The system is built for the low power IrDA standard and has an increased on-axis range of up to 1 m. The RXD output pulse width is independent of the optical input pulse width and remains constant at a set pulse width, making the device ideal for conventional endecs. The tri-state output of the floating, shut-down TFBS4711-TT1 exhibits a weak pull-up. Current consumption is typically reduced to 10 nA using the shut down (SD) feature.
