UCC383T-ADJG3 Description
Positive linear series pass voltage regulators of the UCC2833/5/ADJ family are designed for low-drop-out applications where low quiescent power is crucial. The UCC2835 passes 3 A while requiring only 0.45 V of typical input voltage headroom, making it fabricated using BiCMOS technology that is appropriate for low input-to-output differential applications (ensured 0.6-V dropout).
Reverse voltage sensing is a feature of these regulators that stops the flow of current in the wrong direction. Quiescent current never exceeds 650 A. There is no longer a requirement for a minimum output capacitor because these devices contain inbuilt compensation. The three-lead packages for the UCC283-3 and UCC283-5 variants feature preset outputs at 3.3 V and 5.0 V, respectively. At normal temperature, the output voltage is controlled.
