UC385T-1G3 Description
The UC385 is a low dropout linear regulator that reacts quickly to sudden changes in load. The UC385 excels at operating GTL and BTL buses when combined with its accurate onboard reference. When compared to conventional LDO linear regulators, the quick response to load transients allows for a significant reduction in the overall capacitance needed to decouple the regulator's output. At a 5-A load (0°C to 100°C), the dropout voltage (VIN to VOUT) is only 350 mV on average and 490 mV at its highest. The internal power amplifier's internal bandgap reference is scaled for a 1.2 V input and temperature-stable. Fixed output voltages of 1.5 V, 2.1 V, or 2.5 V are offered for the UC385.
