UC3717ANG4 Description
The UC3717ANG4 BiCMOS Stepper Motor Driver may drive two bipolar stepper motors or control two DC motors in opposite directions. The device, which is configured as a dual H-bridge, can deliver peak currents of 2 A per winding and constant currents of up to 1 A per winding. Using the UC3717ANG4's adjustable current decay capability, users can tailor the current decay for various motor loads. The motor speed can also be changed thanks to an internal pulse width modulation (PWM) current control. The device's compact 16-pin SOIC package makes it suited for applications with limited space. The UC3717ANG4 contains thermal protection that disables the device when the junction temperature rises beyond a predetermined threshold and can function with a wide variety of power supply voltages, from 4.5 V to 30 V. The RoHS directive, which prohibits the use of particular hazardous compounds in electronic equipment, is complied with by the gadget.
