TVS3301DRBR Description
The TVS3301DRBR device shields systems against high-power transients or lightning strikes by shunting up to 27 A of IEC 61000-4-5 fault current. The device satisfies the 1-kV IEC 61000-4-5 open circuit voltage coupled through a 42-Ω impedance requirement for standard industrial signal line EMC. In contrast to conventional TVS diodes, the TVS3301DRBR employs a feedback mechanism to ensure exact flat clamping during a malfunction and reduce system exposure. In order to reduce system costs and complexity without compromising robustness, designers can securely choose system components with a lower voltage tolerance thanks to tight voltage regulation. The TVS3301DRBR may operate in systems that need protection against reverse wiring circumstances thanks to its operating range of ±33-V.
Additionally, the TVS3301DRBR is offered in a compact SON footprint for applications with limited space, which offers a substantial size reduction over the conventional SMA and SMB packages. Low device capacitance and leakage guarantee minimal impact on the protected line. With no change in device performance, TI tests the TVS3301DRBR against 5000 repeated surge strikes at 125°C to assure strong protection over the course of the product.
The Flat-Clamp line of surge protectors from TI includes the TVS3301DRBR.
