TPS92515DGQR Description
Compact monolithic switching regulators with a low resistance N-Channel MOSFET are part of the TPS92515 device family. The devices are designed for high-brightness LED lighting applications where small size, PWM or analog dimming, high bandwidth, and efficiency are critical.
The regulator controls the peak current with a constant off-time. The process is straightforward: an on-time starts after an off-time determined by the output voltage. Once the inductor peak current threshold is met, the on-time is over. In order to maintain a constant peak-to-peak ripple during the ON and OFF phases of a shunt FET dimming cycle, the TPS92515 device can be set. This is the best way to guarantee linear response over the full shunt FET dimming range.
