TPS79933DDCR Description


Excellent ac performance is provided by the TPS799 low-dropout (LDO), low-power linear regulator at a very low ground current. While only requiring a relatively small 40-A (average) ground current, high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR), low noise, quick startup, and excellent line and load transient responsiveness are all supplied. The TPS799 uses a sophisticated BiCMOS fabrication technique to produce a dropout voltage of typically 100 mV at an output of 200 mA and is stable with ceramic capacitors. The TPS799 achieves an overall accuracy of 2% throughout all load, line, process, and temperature fluctuations by using a precise voltage reference and feedback loop. When the EN toggle is used to turn on the device, the TPS799's inrush current protection immediately clamps the current.
