The TPS796 family oflow-dropout(LDOlowpower linear voltage regulators features high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR)，ultralow-noisefast start-up and excellent line andtransient responses in smalloutine3x3VSONSOT223-6and TO-263 packages. Each device in the family is stable with a small 1-uF ceramic capacitor on the output.The family uses an advancedproprietary BiCMOstabrication process to yield extremely low dropout voltages (for example.250 mV at 1A).Each device achieves fast start-up times(approximately 50us with a0.001-uF bypass capacitorwhile consumingvery low quiescent current (265 uA typical).Moreover when the device is placed in standby modethe supply current is reduced to less than 1uA.The TPS79630 exhibits approximately 40 uVs of output voltage noise at 3.0-Voutputwith a0.1-uFbypass capacitor. Applications with analog components that are noise sensitive such as portableRFelectronics benefit from the high PSRRlow noise featuresand need fast response time.
