The TPS794xx family of low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulators comes in compact shape, MSOP-8 PowerPADTM, and SOT223-6 packages and offers high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR), ultralow-noise, quick startup, and outstanding line and load transient responses. A modest 2.2-F ceramic capacitor on the output of every member of the family stabilizes the gadget. The family produces extremely low dropout voltages with the use of a sophisticated, exclusive BiCMOS production technique (for example, 155 mV at 250 mA). Each device has quick start-up times (about 50 s with a 0.001-F bypass capacitor) and typically uses only 170 A of quiescent current. Additionally, the supply current is decreased to less than A when the device is switched to standby mode.
