TPS78915DBVRG4 Description
Low-dropout voltage, ultralow power operation, low output noise, and miniature packaging are all advantages of the low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator TPS78915DBVRG4 family. Compared to traditional LDO regulators, these regulators have extremely low quiescent current and low dropout voltages. To filter out the noise, a low-pass filter is created using an internal resistor and an external bypass capacitor. The TPS78915DBVRG4 device, which is available in a 5-terminal compact outline integrated-circuit SOT-23 package, is best for low output noise operations and board space constraints.
A PMOS pass element has taken the role of the typical PNP pass transistor. The dropout voltage is very low, approximately 115 mV at 100 mA of load current, and is precisely proportional to the load current since the PMOS pass element operates as a low-value resistor. The quiescent current is extremely low (17 A on average) and steady over the whole output load current range (0 mA to 100 mA). The ultralow-dropout voltage feature and ultralow-power operation have been designed for use in portable systems like laptops and cell phones, and they significantly extend system battery life.
