TPS76830QDG4 Description
The TPS76830QDG4 is a fast transient response, 1-a low-dropout voltage regulator. With 10 μF capacitors, this device is intended to have a quick transient reaction and be stable. This combo offers excellent performance at a fair price.
The output current is precisely proportional to the dropout voltage, which is extremely low because the PMOS device operates like a low-value resistor. The quiescent current for the PMOS pass element is also extremely low and independent of output loading because it is a voltage-driven device (usually 85 μA over the whole range of output current, 0 mA to 1 A). For battery-powered systems, these two crucial requirements result in a significant increase in operating life. This LDO family also has a shutdown mode; turning off the regulator by supplying a TTL high signal to EN (enable) lowers the quiescent current to less than 1 μA at TJ = 25°C.
An active high output called Power Good (PG) can be utilized to create a power-on reset or a low battery indicator.
