TPS73701DRBT Description
The voltage-follower design of the TPS737xx family of linear low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators incorporates an NMOS pass element. This architecture allows for a wide range of load configurations because it is relatively unaffected by the output capacitor value and ESR. Even with a tiny 1-F ceramic output capacitor, the load transient responsiveness is good. Low dropout is also possible using the NMOS topology.
The TPS737xx family employs a cutting-edge BiCMOS technology to produce high precision parts with extremely low dropout voltages and low ground pin current.
When disabled, current consumption is less than 20 nA, making it perfect for portable applications. Thermal shutdown and a foldback current limit protect these devices.
