TPS71025PWRG4 Description


TPS71025PWRG4 is a type of low-dropout voltage regulator. The PMOS device is used as a replacement for the typical pnp pass transistor, as a result, this regulator is able to offer an order of magnitude reduction on both dropout voltage and quiescent current over conventional LDO performance. The extremely low dropout voltage is directly proportional to the output current since the PMOS device behaves as a low-value resistor. The low quiescent current remains independent of output loading since the PMOS pass element is a voltage-driven device.
