TPS61236RWLT Description


The TPS6123x is a high current, high efficiency synchronous boost converter for single cell Li-Ion and Li-polymer battery powered products, in a variety of power banks, tablets, and other portable devices. It also has a constant output current feature. The IC includes 14-m/14-m power switches and has a maximum efficiency of 97% when converting 3.3 V to 5 V at an output current of up to 3.5 A. The device allows for a programmed constant output current to regulate power delivery, saving power path components and effectively reducing overall system thermal dissipation.

The device is ideal for Always-On applications because it can report load status to the system and only uses a 10-A quiescent current when there is a light load. With the TPS6123x, a straightforward and adaptable system design is possible, freeing up PCB space, removing external power path components, and lowering BOM costs.
