TPS61170QDRVRQ1 Description
The monolithic, 40-V, 1.2-A power MOSFET-integrated TPS61170QDRVRQ1 is a high-voltage switching regulator. Several common switching-regulator topologies, including boost and SEPIC, are among the configuration options for the device. The device offers a broad input voltage range to accommodate applications that require input voltage from multicell batteries or regulated 5-V and 12-V power lines.
Utilizing low-profile inductors and low-value ceramic input and output capacitors is possible with the TPS61170QDRVRQ1 because of its 1.2-MHz switching frequency. The user has the flexibility to tailor transient response and loop compensation with external loop compensation components. Pulse-by-pulse overcurrent limit, soft start, and thermal shutdown are a few of the device's built-in safety measures.
The reference voltage for the FB pin is 1.229 V. Through the CTRL pin on a 1-wire digital interface (EasyScale? protocol), the reference voltage can be decreased. An alternative is to apply a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to the CTRL pin. The feedback reference voltage decreases in direct proportion to the signal duty cycle. The 6-pin 2-mm 2-mm SON packaging of the TPS61170QDRVRQ1 enables a small power supply option.
