TPS56100PWPR Description


TPS56100PWPR emerges as a high-efficiency synchronous-buck regulator controller which provides an accurate programmable supply voltage to low-voltage digital signal processors, such as the‘C6x and‘C54x DSPs. The reference voltage can be programmed from 1.3 V to 2.6 V by an internal 5-bit DAC. Based on an external input resistive divider, higher output voltages can be implemented. A quick transient response can be provided due to a fast hysteretic control method that it uses. It provides overcurrent shutdown and crossover protection to eliminate destructive faults in the output MOSFETs, therefore, the processor can be protected during operation.
