TPS2379DDAR Description
TPS2379DDAR is a type of 8-pin integrated circuit optimized for implementing an IEEE802.3at type-2 powered device (PD) based on its Type 2 Hardware Classification, Detection, Classification, and 140-mA inrush current limit during startup. It provides a suite of protection features, including thermal shutdown, current limit foldback, and a robust 100-V internal switch. It is able to continuously handle up to 0.85 A due to the low 0.5-Ω internal switch resistance and the enhanced thermal dissipation of the PowerPAD package. A low 0.5-Ω internal switch enables it to operate with up to 0.85 A of continuous current through the PD.
