THVD2450DR Description
The THVD2410 and THVD2450 are single-supply, 70-V fault-protected, half-duplex, RS-422/RS-485 transceivers. Bus interface pins are safeguarded from overvoltage situations in all operating modes, ensuring reliable communication in harsh industrial environments.
Since these devices include integrated IEC ESD protection, external system-level protection components are not necessary. Reliable datacommunication across longer cable runs and/or in the presence of high ground loop voltages is made possible by extended 25-V input common-mode range. High noise rejection is ensured by improved 250-mV receiver hysteresis. Additionally, when the inputs are open or shorted together, the receiver fail-safe function ensures a logic high.
For applications requiring minimal space, THVD24x0 devices are offered in compact VSSOP and VSON packages. These devices have been tested in free-air environments with temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C.
