SM72442X/NOPB Description
SM72442X/NOPB is a type of programmable maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller for photovoltaic solar panels. It is able to control four PWM gate drive signals for a 4-switch buck-boost converter. Based on its proprietary algorithm called Panel Mode, the panel connected directly to the output of your power optimizer circuit become possible. A solution for a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) configured DC-DC converter with efficiencies up to 99.5% can be achieved when it operates with the SM72295.
