LP2951-30DRG4 Description
Bipolar, low-dropout voltage regulators with a wide input supply voltage range of up to 30 V are the LP2951-30DRG4. The simple-to-use LP2951-30DRG4 has three pins and comes in three fixed output voltages: 5 V, 3.3 V, and 3 V. The 8-pin LP2951, however, can output a fixed or adjustable output from the same component. The LP2951-30DRG4 outputs a fixed 5 V, 3.3 V, or 3 V by connecting the FEEDBACK and VTAP pins together and the OUTPUT and SENSE pins together (depending on the version). Alternately, the output can be adjusted to any value between 1.235 V and 30 V by leaving the SENSE and VTAP pins unconnected and connecting FEEDBACK to an external resistor divider. Additionally, the 8-pin LP2951-30DRG4 provides extra functionality, making it especially appropriate for battery-powered applications.
