LMV431AIMFX/NOPB Description


The precise 1.24 V shunt regulators LMV431, LMV431A, and LMV431B can be adjusted to 30 V. Similar to a non-inverting op amp arrangement, the cathode voltage is controlled via negative feedback from the cathode to the adjust pin (Refer to Symbol and Functional Diagrams). The gain of a 1.24 V band-gap reference is managed by a two-resistor voltage divider terminated at the adjust pin. A 1.24 V cathode voltage is produced by shorting the cathode to the adjust pin (voltage follower).
