LM317AEMP Description
Over a 1.2V to 37V output range, the LM117 series of adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulators can produce more than 1.5A. They're quite simple to use, with only two external resistors needed to set the output voltage. Furthermore, line and load regulators are superior to traditional fixed regulators. The LM317AEMP is also packaged in common transistor packages, making it simple to mount and handle.
The LM117 series features full overload protection, which is only accessible in ICs, in addition to superior performance to fixed regulators. Current limit, thermal overload protection, and safe area protection are all included in the chip. Even if the adjustment terminal is unplugged, the overload protection circuitry remains completely functioning.
