LM140K-12/883 Description


The monolithic 3-terminal positive voltage regulator LM140K-12/883 employs internal current-limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation, making it essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, it can deliver over 0.5A output current. It is intended as a fixed voltage regulator in a wide range of applications including local (on-card) regulation for the elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation. In addition, to use as fixed voltage regulators, the LM140K-12/883 can be used with external components to obtain adjustable output voltages and currents.
