It is important to protect PTC thermistors from damage by placing them in Disc packages. In order to protect themselves from damage, these PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tray. 2 is the termination of the PTC thermistor. Temperatures below 80°C are the maximum allowed for thermistors. The thermistor should function only when the temperature is above 5°C.
