STF715 Overview
This device has a DC current gain of 40 @ 1A 2V, which is the ratio between the base current and the collector current. The collector emitter saturation voltage is 500mV, which allows for maximum design flexibility.Saturation of VC means the Ic value is at its maximum, so vce saturation (Max) is 500mV @ 100mA, 1A.An emitter's base voltage can be kept at 5V to gain high efficiency. This device has a current rating of 1.5A which corresponds to the maximum current it can carry for an indefinite period without deteriorating too much.As you can see, the part has a transition frequency of 50MHz.As a result, it can handle voltages as low as 80V volts.Maximum collector currents can be below 1.5A volts.
