The ST72C254G2M6 is an 8-BIT MCU with single voltage flash memory, ADC, 16-BIT timers, SPI, I2C interfaces. The ST7 microcontroller series includes the ST72104G, ST72215G, ST72216G, and ST72254G devices. These can be put into groups:
- ST72254G devices have ADC and I2C interface capabilities and are suited for mid-range applications.
- Devices with ST72215/6G support the same set of applications but do not include an I2C interface.
- Applications that do not require ADC and I2C peripherals should use ST72104G devices.
Every device is built around an 8-bit core that is the 8-bit industry standard and has an improved instruction set.
Single-voltage FLASH memory with byte-by-byte In-Situ Programming (ISP) functionality is available in the ST72C104G, ST72C215G, ST72C216G, and ST72C254G variants.
All devices can be put in WAIT, SLOW, or HALT mode under software control to save energy when an application is idle or in standby mode.
Software developers have power and flexibility because of the ST7's increased instruction set and addressing modes, which allow for the creation of incredibly efficient and small application code. All ST7 microcontrollers include actual bit manipulation, 8x8 unsigned multiplication, and indirect addressing modes in addition to ordinary 8-bit data management.
