The ST72C215G2B6 is an 8-BIT MCU with single voltage flash memory, ADC, 16-bit timers, SPI, I2C interfaces. Family members of the ST7 microcontroller are the ST72104G, ST72215G, ST72216G, and ST72254G devices. These are how they can be categorized:

- ST72254G devices have an I2C and ADC interface, making them suitable for mid-range applications.

- The ST72215/6G devices aim for a similar set of applications but do not have an I2C interface.

- Devices like the ST72104G are used in programs that don't require ADC and I2C peripherals.

A common 8-bit core that is industry standard and with an expanded instruction set serves as the foundation for all devices.
