The ST62T65CB6 is an ST62xx 8-bit HCMOS family of microcontrollers, which is geared toward low to medium complexity applications and consists of the ST62T55C, ST62T65C, and ST62E65C low-cost members. A common core is surrounded by a number of on-chip peripherals in all ST62xx devices, which are based on a building block design.
It is possible to imitate the ST62T55C and ST62T65C devices, as well as their corresponding ST6255C and ST6265C ROM devices, using the erasable EPROM version of the ST62T65C device, known as the ST62E65C.
The functionality of OTP and EPROM devices is the same. The OTP/EPROM versions' programmable option byte has a list of options that can be selected as ROM options. The ROM-based versions have the same capability.
OTP devices are the best option in a variety of applications when frequent code updates, various code versions, or last-minute programmability are necessary since they provide all the benefits of user programmability at a cheap cost.
These small, inexpensive devices have a Timer with an 8-bit counter and a 7-bit programmable Prescaler, an 8-bit Auto-Reload Timer, EEPROM data capability (with the exception of the ST62T55C), a serial port communication interface, an 8-bit A/D Converter with 13 analog inputs, and a Digital Watchdog timer, making them suitable for a variety of industrial, automotive, and household appliance applications.
