LNBP8LIT Description
The LNBP8LIT is a monolithic linear voltage regulator assembled in the DFN8 (5 x 6) and IPPAK packages that is intended for analog and digital satellite receivers and are specially made to supply the powering voltages and the interface signals to the LNB down-converter. The EN/VSEL 3-state pin allows for logic control of the regulator output for 13 V or 18 V (typical) in order to remotely operate the LNB. The regulator output is deactivated when the IC is powered and placed on standby (EN/VSEL pin at high impedance). The LNBP10L/11L variants (on DFN packaging) have two supply inputs: VCC1 and VCC2, which reduce power dissipation. These pins need to be powered at 15 V (min.) and 22 V (min. ), respectively, and an internal switch will choose the proper supply voltage based on the chosen output voltage. There is just one supply input pin on the LNBP8L/9L variants (in the IPPAK package), and it needs to be supplied with 22 V. (min.). Additionally, the LLC pin on the LNBP10L/11L versions increases the chosen output voltage value by 1 V (typically) to account for the excessive voltage loss along the coaxial cable (LLC pin HIGH).
