L7915CV Description


The STMicroelectronics L7915CV is a 3-terminal Single Gauge Negative Voltage Regulator with a -15V output voltage. It comes in a variety of fixed output voltages, making it helpful in a wide range of applications. This regulator may provide local on-card control, reducing the distribution issues associated with single-point regulation. It also has the same voltage choices as the L78 positive standard series, making it ideal for a split power supply. It can generate more than 1.5A output current if appropriate heat sinking is given. Although intended primarily as fixed voltage regulators, this device can be used in conjunction with external components to provide variable voltages and currents.
