L7809CV Description
The L7809CV three-terminal positive regulators are available in TO-220-3 packages with a variety of fixed output voltages, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. Local on-card regulation is possible using the L7809CV regulator, which eliminates the distribution issues associated with single-point regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe area protection are all included in the L7809CV, making it virtually unbreakable. L7809CV may deliver over 1A output current if sufficient heat sinking is provided.
