L6472H Description
The advanced fully integrated L6472 device, achieved in analog mixed-signal technology, is appropriate for driving two-phase bipolar stepper motors with microstepping. With all of the power switches fitted with precise on-chip current sensing circuitry suited for non-dissipative current regulation and overcurrent protection, it combines a dual low RDS(on) DMOS complete bridge. A novel current control allows for an adaptive decay mode that outperforms conventional implementations to reach a 1/16 micro stepping. The user-defined motion profiles with acceleration, deceleration, speed, or goal location can be generated by the digital control core and readily programmed using a special register set.
