Description
The L4940V5 is a 1.5 A very low drop voltage regulator IC. The three-terminal positive regulators L4940V5 are available in TO-220 and D2PAK packages, as well as a variety of fixed output voltages, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. These devices are ideal for battery-powered equipment because of their minimal input/output voltage drop, which reduces consumption and extends battery life. Internal current limiting, anti-saturation circuits, thermal shutdown, and safe region protection are all used in each kind.
