KD1084V33 Description
A LOW DROP voltage regulator with a 5A output current limit is the KD1084V33. At the highest output current, dropout is guaranteed to occur at a maximum of 1.5V; it gets smaller at lower loads. The KD1084 provides higher drop and output tolerance performance while remaining pin-to-pin compatible with earlier 3-terminal adjustable regulators. SCSI-2 active termination is compatible with a 2.85V output version. The KD1084V33 quiescent current flows into the load, increasing efficiency, in contrast to PNP regulators, which waste some of the output current as quiescent current. For stability, only a 10 F minimum capacitor is required.
