KD1084DT18R Description
KD1084DT18R is a type of low drop voltage regulator providing up to 5 A of output current. It is pin-to-pin compatible with the older 3-terminal adjustable regulators but delivers better performances in terms of drop and output tolerance. Compared to PNP regulators whose parts of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, the KD1084DT18R ensures that the quiescent current flows into the load, thus increasing efficiency. It supports stability with only a 10 μF minimum capacitor.
